The last weekend with our families has passed and we're starting to say our goodbyes and pack our suitcases. Emily got to go to a quincinera, which is a like a sweet sixteen party in the U.S. She also got to use the salsa skills that she's learned and danced with several boys at the party. Louise spent her weekend celebrating the birthday of one of her parents friends, going to church, and going shopping at a mall. She was also interviewed by a TV station while her family was at an outdoor fair. We've really enjoyed our time here in Guatemala city, and it'll be hard to say our last goodbyes, but we're also looking forward to free travel and new adventures in Mexico.
Today we had our final exams, which we think went well. Tomorrow each of the classes has to do a ten minute presentation, we're both dreading that. Thursday morning we're heading out bright and early at 5 in the morning to catch a bus to Puerto Barrios. Looking forward to the white sandy beaches and sunshine on our shoulders.

Our classes made "rellenitos" together, which are mashed up platanos with beans in the middle
